FBI Reflection: My Time in College

Good ole' Aggie Football with great friends

Both of my cousins lived in Beijing for the majority of there live; they then attended Texas A&M when coming back to the states to further their education. This then lead to the start of my family going to A&M. After graduating high school, I utilized the array of clubs and organizations I was in to aid me in the real world. I walked into college looking to get very involved and will continue to seek to get involved. I carried very light baggage walking into college primarily due to the majority of my school seeking out of state college to further their education. This lead me to finding a completely new friend group in college. This was a very unique experience because I have never met so many people in such a short time.

College has lead to a positive growth in my ability to handle time management and stress. I quickly tailored to the fast pace college life once the school year started. This led me to start developing my time management skills in order to balance my school, sleep, and social life. My initial conclusion to this is that you are only allowed to pick two of three while in college, however next semester I am striving to better my time management and to set aside more hours into my schoolwork or studies. I currently identify to Mays Business School and Beta Theta Pi within the university, but will continue to grow my connections and organizations in the time to come.

I want to become more versatile in my future and plan to achieve this through joining other organizations. I feel that this is a good approach to growing as person through college. This is because when applying to organizations there will be success and failure to these. Learning from failure is the best way to grow overall as a person and I believe this will be a good step to reaching this goal. Currently I don’t know exactly what I want to do with my life and I want to know very soon so I can invest myself into it fully.
