Compentencies
Mays Business School has created seven core competencies that is sought to be within each student. The following is my descriptions of how they are important in my life and business.
Communacation

Communication is the ability to clearly portray an idea or information to others. Large businesses must be able to communicate ideas to all levels of the company. Companies seek for people who can communicate well in order for the company to work smoothly.
Problem Solving
To be able to solve problems will add value to you in any company. It requires an individual to infiltrate the conflict and find the resolution. The faster a problem is resolved, is how much sooner a company can resume operations.
Creating Oppertunities
Looking to advancements in a company will create opportunity. Having people who are innovative, unique, and think outside the box will lead to a company having more opportunities in the market and within. Looking for young minds that look at the next step and not the step at hand will lead to innovation and opportunities for the company.
Leading
This is a great place to tell your story and give people more insight into who you are, what you do, and why it’s all about you.
To be able to lead in a company, the individual must be able to drive, teach, and inspire to staff. The leader must have confidence, yet humility, and be able to unite the staff. A good leader is overall a excellent character to be followed and trusted.
Managing
This is a great place to tell your story and give people more insight into who you are, what you do, and why it’s all about you.
To be a good business manager he or she must be able to manage to main components of their company. They must be able to take orders from above and then corral their employees to stay on track for the companies visoin.
Working With Others
This is a great place to tell your story and give people more insight into who you are, what you do, and why it’s all about you.
In order for a business to perform, its employees must be able to work smoothly. A company should implement a common theme or message for the workplace. The workplace needs to be an environment that can share beliefs and opinions freely.
Acting Ethically
This is a great place to tell your story and give people more insight into who you are, what you do, and why it’s all about you.
Ethics is an important value that can be ignored at times. Ethics should be presented within a company in order for all employees to follow the codes. Maintaining strong ethics will create its company to remain honest and trustworthy.
